Winter is here!

Northern Michigan is just so different this time of year. Snow settles in, the woods and meadows stand quiet and bare, and twinkle lights show up, even on tree branches! The slower pace allows for a new kind of focus and appreciation for the work, people, and communities I am lucky to be part of and support.

The holidays remind me how important generosity feels in small towns and local places. Neighbors gather, give thoughtfully, and stay connected to projects that matter. I see how everything works best when rooted in real relationships and shared place…and hope!

The New Year will bring motivation and activity. It becomes a natural time to reset and approach opportunities with steady energy. I look forward to helping nonprofit organizations, whether I am a volunteering or working, move into the year with intention, confidence, and a practical path forward.
