Giving Back

Volunteering has become how I spend a lot of my time.

Currently, I serve as the president of the Board of Directors for the Housing Trust of Benzie, a community land trust that offers a creative path to homeownership at a more attainable price. The organization has nearly built and sold eight homes, and is just getting started.

I am also deeply proud to serve on the board of the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Protecting Northern Michigan’s natural resources, its lakes, forests, and open land, is, in my view, essential to the health and quality of life that makes this place worth working for.

Because serving hyper locally is important, I am also a member of the Environmental Committee of Crystal Lake Township, and I champion the Benzie Conservation District by serving as a volunteer resource from time to time.
